The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty…

… it’s twice as big as it needs to be.

In a world of abundance and automation, it’s easy to feed on information, email, news, blogs, and social media like a Big Gulp at a 7-Eleven.

Lack of focus can often lead to over consumption of data and wasteful habits. The side effect is needing a bigger “glass” to feel full. Instead of your email inbox and bookmarks getting bigger, perhaps it’s time to shrink them down.

I’ve started a new “thing” with my bookmarks. It’s serving me pretty well and even though I probably still have more bookmarks than most people, it feels like I have fewer of them at least.


Instead of creating folders based on I make it a point prune the bookmarks at least once a month to keep things fresh.

How many times have you heard the whole “Glass is half full / half empty” statement? Next time you make a decision to order the proverbial glass of [take your pick], ask for a child’s size and stay just a little thirsty.
